Setting Up a New People Database

Welcome to People! This article will help you set up your People account by showing you how to find people and track their information. In addition to this guide, check out our Product Tour, which shows you how People works for your church.

Once you're subscribed and have imported your data, you're ready to get started learning the application. Here are some quick overview videos for you to see how to set up and use the main features:

 

Find People with Lists

Lists allow you to filter your people based on their information and activity across all Planning Center applications. You can email people in the list, share lists with others, print them, or update people in the list.

Use Workflows to Track Processes

Workflows help you keep track of your processes to be better connected to those who attend and visit your church. Add a person or a new step to follow up with your people, and give permissions to those who need access to the workflow. When a card is Ready, the assigned person will receive an email notification.

Gather Information with Forms

Forms help you learn information about people, which keeps your database up to date. Drag and drop fields into a form to collect necessary information, and then share the public form with your people to gather information.

Get Training & Support

If you want to dive in a little deeper, we have created a training video that will continually be updated. It's a hour long and has chapters for you to jump around easily. It also links to all of our articles throughout the video.

From there, you'll be able to see suggested articles based on the page you're on, or you can search for other articles if you don't see what you're looking for.
