A directory is a private place for the people in your church to share their contact information. Only people invited to the directory can see the others or share their information. Each invited person can choose the information they want to show about themselves or their household.

Important
Only Organization Administrators or People Managers can set up the directory, set the parameters of the contact information, and invite people.
From the People tab, click the gear, and then click Directory.

Click the Church Center dropdown to see if the directory is enabled.

Green checkmarks denote that the directory is enabled. If you see a red X, the directory is not enabled.

Update settings will take you to the place to enable the directory, either from the Church Center tab in Accounts or from Publishing, if you're subscribed.

View the directory.
When the directory is enabled, you can see it on Church Center, on the web and in the app.

You can invite people to the directory in multiple ways. Expand one of the sections to see how to invite a group of people from that place.
This directory page shows you what information you'd like people to provide and gives you a way to invite new people or see those who have been invited.

Select the fields you'd like to be visible for the directory.

Invite people to be part of the directory from the Directory Settings by entering their names or choosing a list.
You can also invite people to be a part of the directory from their profile, the bulk action menu, or a list.
From the People tab, click the gear, and then click Bulk Actions.

Enter multiple individuals or choose a list of individuals, and then invite them all to join the directory.

Choose Set directory access from the menu.

Choose Allow access to give access to people.
If you want to revoke access from people, you can choose that from the menu as well.

Without the welcome email, the only way a person can join is if they go to Church Center and see an Add my info link.
From a list, click the bulk action icon.

From a person's profile page, a Manager can click Invite to directory.

Once they've added their information, their Directory Status will change.

If you no longer want them to have access to the directory, remove their access.
